Program Committee

Page history last edited by Mary Zirkelbach 7 months, 3 weeks ago

On the state level, I am chair of the Program of Work Committees: Legislation, Personal Growth, Professional Affairs, Research, and Music Representative.  On the international level this group has been changed and is now called Educational Excellence Committee (EEC).

At NW Regional in July, I received one day's training in which we learned how the EEC is now organized and its goals.  There are three main goals: 1.) Schools for Africa, 2.) Supporting Early Career Educators, 3.) Encourage programs and activities in five specific areas which: focus on educational excellence, promote the DKG/UN relationship, increase members personal and professional pride, increase member's global awareness, and/or impact educational law and policy. Link to EEC documents and forms.

Chapters will be asked to record projects and donations relating to the first two goals.  Working towards the third goal will be documented through chapter program books sent to me and state committee reports. Please send me a copy of your Program Book.  This information should be included in your book: Program Book Review.

I am very excited about working towards these goals along with other nearly 100,000 sisters in 17 countries.  Imagine, if we each could/would do a small bit, what Delta Kappa Gamma could achieve.  It will be exciting to see what Upsilon State can contribute.

Mary Zirkelbach

First Vice-President,

Upsilon State
