Professional Affairs Committee

Purpose:

 

The purpose of the Professional Affairs Committee is to develop an action program to encourage mutual respect and cooperation within the profession and to promote women in education.  The committee shall study and recommend action on professional issues and  shall urge the state organizations to initiate, endorse, and support desirable legislation or other suitable endeavors in the  interest of education and women eduators.

 

The Professional Affairs Committee members are: Bette  Hauber (Alpha) chair,  Donna Akins (Zeta),  Paula Murrell (Tau), and Chris Leichsenring (Beta Upsilon)

 

The goals of the Professional Affairs Committeee for 2009-2011 are:

 

  • To continue to encourage chapters to celebrate their members achievements and accomplishments.
  • To encourage chapters to initiate an informal support program for first year educators and gtrant in aid recipients.
  • To encourage our members to apply for any of the Staff Development Scholarships
